As a lot of you know, we had historic flooding on the Current River and in Montauk Park few weeks ago. The water has receded and the fishing has been great. Hundreds of thousands of fish escaped the hatchery resulting in many more fish in the water than normal. The river substrate was destroyed in the flooding wiping out bug life. The end result is, the fish were hitting on anything you presented to them. Fishing is getting back to somewhat normal conditions now, but is still good. If you are planning a trip to the Ozarks of Missouri, I would suggest to you to follow through and come visit our beautiful hills and streams. The fishing is good.
